This is What Prabowo Says About How to Live in Peace in Asia that Can Affect the World

"We decided that our shared experience of being dominated, enslaved, exploited, forced us now to fight, to create a peaceful environment. A friendly environment."

Minister of Defense (Menhan) Indonesia Prabowo Subianto revealed how Asia or "The Asian Ways" in dealing with various geopolitical challenges of the world to achieve peace.

"In our experience, over the last 40 to 50 years, we have found our own way, the Asian way to solve this challenge," Prabowo said while delivering a message at the IISS Shangri-La Dialogue 2022 Forum in Singapore. The IISS is the most important forum for senior world officials to share new perspectives on the evolving security challenges in Asia.

"We decided that our shared experience of being dominated, enslaved, exploited, forced us now to fight, to create a peaceful environment. A friendly environment."

Prabowo also believes that the world's great powers, namely China and the United States, will be wise for world peace, which is important for a wise leader in managing the current world's geopolitical challenges.

“World War II gave birth to an independence movement against imperialism for hundreds of years. The experiences of our brothers in Indochina, the experiences of our brothers in the Philippines, in India, in many parts of Asia and the Pacific make us very, very aware of the need for wise and benevolent leadership," he explained.

In fact, he was sure that the leaders of the great powers realized that great responsibility rested on their shoulders. They will be responsible with works and virtues.

Prabowo told all Ministers of Defense in the world that Indonesia is a country that has been heavily affected by negative sentiments towards competition between neighboring countries.

Even so, Indonesia has its own ingredients to overcome internal turmoil from external factors, namely by creating a peaceful environment, tolerance between religions, races and ethnicities.

“We have decided our common experience of being dominated, enslaved, exploited, forced us now to struggle, to create a peaceful environment. Friendly environment," he concluded. (kemenhan)
