General Milley specifically said that Indonesia has a big role as a country in the Pacific region.
The Commander of the United States Armed Forces (US Chairman of The Joint Chiefs of Staff) General Mark A. Milley stated that Indonesia's presence is very important in the Pacific region.
General Milley said he needed to visit Indonesia and meet the TNI Commander, General Andika Perkasa. According to him, Indonesia has an important role in the eyes of the world.
"Indonesia is an important country for the US, important for Southeast Asia (ASEAN) and important for Asia and an important country for the whole world," said General Milley during his visit to TNI Headquarters, Cilangkap, Jakarta, Sunday (24/7/2022).
General Milley also mentioned specifically that Indonesia has a big role as a country in the Pacific region.
"More than 2/3 of international trade passes through the Pacific region and most of it comes by sea in Indonesia," he said.
General Milley ensured that the United States military would build cooperation with the Indonesian military in the future. (antara)
