Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs (Menko Polhukam) Mahfud MD stated that President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) was furious because of the slow progress of the investigation into the case of Brigadier Joshua.
Mahfud revealed that before the meeting with the president, he met Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung to find out President Jokowi's direction in the Joshua case.
Mahfud said that at that time Pramono Anung said Jokowi firmly asked for the case to be opened openly.
"Sir, I believe, the President is really angry and why did it take so long (to finish)'," said Mahfud imitating Pramono Anung when he met him, as revealed on Ahmad Faizal's youtube channel.
Mahfud revealed that there was a meeting with President Jokowi after the communication with Pramono Anung.
At that time, the president asked for the case of the death of Brigadier Joshua to be resolved quickly so as not to cause various issues.
"There was another meeting, I met the president, it was directed so as not to cause various kinds of issues, so that they were resolved quickly, so that nothing was covered up," he said.
Mahfud added that Jokowi's assertiveness continued to summon the National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo so that the case was resolved quickly.
