Location of the Meeting of Jokowi and the President of Ukraine 350 Km from the War Point
The location of Jokowi's meeting with the President of Ukraine is far from the location of the war and tends to be safe.
The Commander of the Presidential Security Forces (Paspampres) Major General Tri Budi Utomo revealed the distance between the Russia-Ukraine war area and the location of the visit of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi).
Tri said Jokowi would meet Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Kyiv. The area is about 350 kilometers from the point of the Russo-Ukrainian war.
"More or less the closest distance to the explosion [in Donetsk] is 380 kilometers from Kyiv. That's what we have anticipated. While they (Russia) are still carrying out attacks, yes, that's all around Donetsk," Tri said when contacted, Thursday ( 23/6).
Tri felt that the location of Jokowi's meeting with Zelensky was far from the location of the war. He thought the place was likely to be safe.
However, he did not relax security for Jokowi. Paspampres fielded 39 soldiers who had been forged in a number of TNI special forces.
They are also equipped with long guns and ammunition supplies. The soldiers had also done some training before the trip.
Jokowi will attend the G7 meeting in Germany later this month. After that, he will go to Poland. From Poland, he will take the train to reach Kyiv, Ukraine.
Jokowi wants to meet Ukrainian President Zelensky. Jokowi will also stop by Moscow to meet Russian President Vladimir Putin. The two meetings were carried out in an effort to reconcile the two countries. (between, photo: president of ukraine)
