Jokowi supports the efforts of the United Nations (UN) for the reintegration of Russia-Ukraine food commodities.
Indonesian President Joko Widodo and Russian President Vladimir Putin delivered a joint press statement after holding a meeting at the Kremlin Palace, Moscow.
President Joko Widodo emphasized that Indonesia's only interest was to end the war immediately.
"Indonesia has no interest whatsoever, unless the war can be ended soon," said President Joko Widodo in one of his statement points, Thursday (30/6/2022).
Jokowi said the war must end so that the food and fertilizer supply chain can be repaired immediately. This is because food issues involve the lives of many people.
"The supply chain of food, food and fertilizer can be repaired immediately because this involves the lives of hundreds of millions of people, billions of people," said Jokowi.
Therefore, Jokowi also invites all world leaders to work together to revive the spirit of multilateralism, the spirit of peace and the spirit to work together.
"Only with that spirit, peace can be achieved," said Jokowi, who the day before had met Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Jokowi also stated that he supports the efforts of the United Nations (UN) for the reintegration of food commodities, both fertilizers from Russia and Ukrainian food commodities so that they can be re-entered the world supply chain.
Jokowi also shared good news regarding the world supply chain. Putin, Jokowi said, had provided security guarantees for the export of Ukrainian products, especially those by sea.
On that occasion, Jokowi also appreciated Putin for providing security guarantees for food and fertilizer supplies, both from Russia and Ukraine. (kemlu)
