Jokowi asked officers to be capable of understanding the future, future defense strategies, and mastering future technology.
President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) inaugurated 754 TNI and Polri officers in 2022 at the Presidential Palace, Jakarta, Thursday, July 14, 2022.
The inaugurated officers consisted of 292 Military Academy graduates, 107 Naval Academy graduates, 109 Air Force Academy graduates, and 246 Police Academy graduates.
"On behalf of myself, the community, the nation and the country, I express my pride and congratulations on the inauguration of the officers, young knights, as teenage officers of the TNI and Polri," Jokowi said at the inauguration ceremony, Thursday, July 14.
Jokowi then delivered a number of messages to the appointed officers. "You must be able to understand the future, understand future defense strategies, master future technology," said Jokowi.
Now, said Jokowi, it is time for the inaugurated officers to show their achievements as tough knights and show integrity and loyalty to the people of the nation and state. In addition, Jokowi also reminded the officers that the honor they won today was not the result of their own efforts, but the role of parents.
Therefore, Jokowi asked hundreds of officers to promise the motherland to give their best. "Keep fighting for your beloved country, stand at the forefront guarding Pancasila and the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia. Make your parents proud. Make Indonesia victorious," he said.
