The Ministry of Social Affairs will also investigate the licenses for collecting money and goods (PUB) of 176 philanthropic institutions.
The Ministry of Social Affairs (Kemensos) and the Center for Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis (PPATK) agreed to form a task force (satgas) to investigate 176 philanthropic institutions suspected of misappropriating public donation funds.
"There is a team that will cooperate between PPATK and the Ministry of Social Affairs. I will write a letter of assignment to become a cooperation partner," said Social Minister Tri Rismaharini at the Ministry of Social Affairs Building, Central Jakarta, Thursday, August 4, 2022.
Risma added that the Ministry of Social Affairs would investigate further the PPATK findings that 176 philanthropic institutions were suspected of misappropriating funds.
The Ministry of Social Affairs will also investigate the permits for collecting money and goods (PUB) for the philanthropists.
On the other hand, the Head of PPATK Ivan Yustiavandana explained the forms of misappropriation of public funds in the 176 philanthropic institutions such as the flow of funds flowing to the foundation management to the legal institutions formed by these institutions.
Ivan did not specify the name of the philanthropic institution that used a mode like ACT in the diversion of public funds.
Ivan confirmed that these 176 philanthropic organizations are not related to ACT. However, his party found hundreds of these institutions after tracing the modes and patterns of misappropriation of funds by ACT. (Kemensos, tempo)
