Jokowi gave directions to state officials and all the people who were present to wear traditional clothes at the commemoration of the seconds of this year's proclamation. The goal is to promote and preserve the cultural wealth of the country to the world.
"The idea came directly from him. Officials must preserve while celebrating historic days. We can also promote, convey to the outside world that we have high historical value, high art. Don't let this be ignored and copied by other countries," said Budi.

The Buton Dolomani shirt used by President Jokowi is commonly used by the Sultan of Buton when attending an event or official ceremony of the sultanate.
