Social assistance (bansos) and market operations are prepared to reduce the impact of rising global food prices.
Vice President (Vice President) Ma'ruf Amin said the government had prepared various social assistance (bansos) and market operations to reduce the impact of global food price fluctuations on the community.
"The government has prepared this, for social assistance (social assistance) to continue to be rolled out, then also for market operations are also prepared. Our social assistance will continue to be enlarged in order to deal with the impact of the global crisis," said the Vice President while reviewing palm-based Santripreneur activities at the Riau Technology Islamic Boarding School (Ponpes), Pekanbaru, Riau.
The Vice President said that the global crisis situation continues to develop and all countries are currently thinking about how to handle it. The Vice President hopes that Indonesia can face this crisis well.
The Vice President assessed that Indonesia was on the right track. This can be seen from the level of Indonesia's economic growth which is quite good in the midst of the current difficult situation.
Meanwhile, regarding the increase in the price of fuel oil (BBM), the Vice President revealed that the government is discussing options that can be taken to overcome this issue. In the future, it is hoped that the decisions that will be taken will be good for all elements of the nation.
“Currently, there are several options being considered, whether to increase prices, limit or increase subsidies, these are the options. These are the options currently being discussed by the government. That's all, hopefully later there will be the best solution for the community, and for the government, for the nation, and for the country," said the vice president.
