Finally Abu Bakar Ba'asyir Joins the 77th RI Anniversary Ceremony at Ngruki Islamic Boarding School

The 1,300 participants in the flag ceremony came from the students of the Al Mukmin Ngruki Islamic boarding school, from elementary, junior high to high school levels.

Abu Bakar Ba'asyir, Founder of Al-Mukmin Islamic Boarding School, attends a flag ceremony to commemorate the 77th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia at Al Mukmin Ngruki Islamic Boarding School, Sukoharjo, Central Java.

Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture (Menko PMK) Muhadjir Effendy also became the inspector of ceremonies at the Ngruki Islamic boarding school.

While attending the flag ceremony, Abu Bakar Ba'asyir was seen wearing a white shirt, white cap, light brown sarong, glasses, and holding a stick.

"The ceremony was carried out as a form of gratitude for the independence of the Indonesian nation. Independence means that we stick to the ropes of unity and integrity," said Muhadjir in Sukoharjo, Wednesday, August 17, 2022.

Muhadjir said this gratitude will give optimism for the nation to jointly build the Indonesian nation.

"We continue to strive to recover faster and rise faster," he said.

Meanwhile, previously the Secretary of the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture YB Satya Sananugraha explained that the ceremony personnel consisted of ustaz and students of the Al Mukmin Ngruki Islamic Boarding School.

"They have been trained by the Dandim Sukoharjo, the Sukoharjo Police and the Sukoharjo Regency Government," he said.

During the ceremony, around 1,300 participants attended the ceremony from among the students of the Al Mukmin Ngruki Islamic boarding school, ranging from elementary, junior high to high school levels.

Abu Bakar Baasyir was convicted and jailed for 15 years by a judge in 2011. He was proven to have manipulated people in the use of funds for acts or activities of criminal acts of terrorism. (antara)
