The daily positivity rate in Indonesia has now exceeded the WHO standard of five percent.

Government Spokesperson for Handling Covid-19 Reisa Broto Asmoro stated that the results of a study from the Ministry of Health as of July 13, 2022 showed that the situation of Covid-19 cases in Indonesia was now at level 2.

Meanwhile, community transmission of cases in Indonesia is at 6.70 per 100 thousand inhabitants per week with inpatients in hospitals 0.57 per 100 thousand inhabitants per week and 0.01 deaths per 100 thousand inhabitants per week.

"Based on a study by the Ministry of Health as of July 13, 2022, Indonesia's situation has entered level 2," said Reisa Broto Asmoro during a press conference broadcast through the Presidential Secretariat's Youtube channel, Friday (15/7/2022).

WHO itself provides a standard of transmission from the community or transmission in the community must be less than 20 cases per 100,000 population per week.

Inpatients must be less than five cases per 100 thousand inhabitants per week, and death cases are less than one per 100 thousand inhabitants per week.

Meanwhile, on the daily positivity rate, Indonesia is again a country that must be considered because it has exceeded the WHO standard of five percent.

As of July 13, 2022, Indonesia's daily positivity rate is 5.88 percent. Meanwhile, the positivity rate for the past week was 5.72 percent. With an increase in the positivity rate, it means that there is an increased risk of being infected when we are active in the environment.

Thus, he continued, the government made several adjustments to the rules and appeals according to the conditions and situations to prevent the spread of cases.

Reisa reminded the public to re-optimize cooperation between all parties, so that the increase in cases can be suppressed again. (Ministry of Health, antara)
